Rogers currently testing LTE in Sudbury

Rogers promised to go live with LTE service in 10 cities by October 1st – Kingston, Edmonton, Quebec City, Oakville, Burlington, London, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Barrie. Some of them are already active. The greater goal by then end of 2012 is to bring the fast data speeds to 20 million Canadians.

In addition to these cities, Rogers will also expand to several other locations, including way up north in Sudbury, Ontario. While Sudbury is not on the plan for October 1st, we’ve been tipped that Rogers users are actively receiving an intermittent LTE signal. As you can see by the screenshot it shows that clocking download speeds of about 20Mbps.
